St. Tarcisius Weekend

February 5-6, 2016

The next activity on the schedule for the Catholic Committee on Scouting is coming up the weekend of February 5-6, 2016.  It will take place at St. Joan of Arc Church, just south of Powell.  It is worth the drive from the counties in Muskingum Valley Council to attend.

As the oldest of four local programs, this has much history, tradition and acclaim. The program is available to any male or female, youth or adult, who is at least 11 years old and registered in Scouting. Fun is enjoyed by everyone, through the activities, exercises, discussions, over-night and skits, which begin Friday evening and conclude with 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday. Participants learn to appreciate their Catholic Faith, in small group discussions, led by older Scouts. This helps participants become more aware of the real presence of God in their life, through the program’s focus on the Holy Eucharist.

Who is St. Tarcisius?  What makes him special?  This can best be shown on the following two videos
