MVSR Info

The Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation (also known as MVSR) is our council's year-round camping facility. Located on     over 500 acres of reclaimed land near Conesville in Coshocton county, MVSR has offered Scouts a wide variety of           options to expand their camping experience since its opening in 1968.

MVSR contains 10 campsites for tent camping, with three Adirondacks for additional shelter. In addition, the camp features a climbing tower built in 2004 and the Dick Spring High Adventure Area, a section of unreclaimed land which provides a more challenging camping setting. For more information on year-round camping opportunities at MVSR, please refer to the Council Calendar for upcoming events or contact the Council Service Center.

During the summer, MVSR is the setting for our Summer Camp, which is a week-long experience for Boy Scouts and/or Venturers. Cub Scout Adventure Camp (a weekend version of Summer Camp designed for Cub Scout-age boys) and one of our Cub Scout Day Camps are also held at MVSR.

MVSR Needs

The Muskingum Valley Scout Reservation has a need for picnic tables and tent platforms; if you would like to donate the supplies and/or time to build them, please contact the camp ranger or the Scout office.  The camp ranger, T.J. Gitchell, can be reached at 740-829-2662, or call the office at 740-453-0572 or 1-800-934-2128.  The plans and material list for the picnic tables can be found here, and the plans and material list for the platforms will be coming soon.
